I have over 15+ years of experience of working with children of all ages... nothing quite prepared me for the birth and day to day madness of bringing up my very own two daughters... 3 and 8mths.
Being a Mum has taught me a lot. A lot more patience and empathy.
I am very consistent, rarely raise my voice, nurturing and fun. I provide stimulating activities, can cook a nice meal, have a full and clean driving record, am a non smoker and can care for your child in your home or mine.
I live in the gorgeous leafy, green Dandenong Ranges.
I would like the opportunity to be able to bring my baby girl to work with me, possibly in a situation where perhaps you are preparing to give birth to your second child and you use having a baby in the house as a preparation tool.

I charge $25 an hour... Higher end, but... for all my experience, skill, I believe I am well worth it.

Hello! My name is Michelle and I am a professional and down to earth nanny in this field for over 15 years.
Over the years I have cared for children of all ages in various environments. My last position was volunteering with an orphanage in South Africa where I cared for 12 abandoned preemie babies for 12 hours of the day over 6 months. My husband, 1 year olds son and I are based in Selby Victoria on a premanent basis.
Prior to going to Sth Africa I visited/worked fulltime as a nanny/housekeeper for 12 months with a 2 year old and 5 year old, the family were a joy to help and it was difficult to leave. Prior to that I was self employed in Family Daycare which I really enjoyed alot. I worked within 2 coucils in Melbourne over a period of 5 years in total.
My joy in being with children comes from seeing them grow in character when they are just loved to life and given the space to experiment with ideas & ventures in a safe environment. Even the tiniest baby sure has a BIG personality and I love to nuture them each to grow into all they've been made to be : )It really is an honour to be trusted to care for children and bless a family. I wont commit to a position my heart is not in, and I prefer an interactive approach to childcare. I enjoy teaching children life skills and engaging in good conversation with them to get them thinking for themselves. The world is the classroom, and simple daily experiences are essential in building a childs confidence enabling them to pursue more individual interests as they grow older. I appreciate various methods of care including attachment/instinctive parenting or care and the Steiner approach also. Although not strictly : )

Ideally I am available 1-3 days per week, also happy to help keep the home tidy and in order in relation to the children. BUT on challenging days kids come 1st!
