I have been a fulltime nanny for the past 3 1/2 years, caring for children of all ages from newborn twins through to teenagers. I have also done many years of babysitting prior to that. I am a very calm person, I enjoy spending time with children and appreciate their humour and different points of view. I do not believe in wrapping children in cotton wool, but believe learning to take risks is an important part of childhood. This is not to say that a child's safety isn't paramount of course. I have been with my current family for 2 and a half years. The 3 boys are certainly busy but have been a lot of fun. I originally only worked for them part time whilst also working with another family but with the arrival of twins I committed to fulltime hours. I am looking for a fulltime position, preferably with 2 or more children, and I would consider a nanny share. I'm very flexible with days and times but would prefer to work no more than 50 hours a week. My current first aid certificate has lapsed but I am intending to attend a course in Australia shortly after my arrival.
