I give a lot of attention to detail and it is important to me to get to know the child and family very well and ideally build a long term relationship. I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old and I have never grown tired of it. My experience with children ranges from ages 6 months to about 13 years and I have cared for up to 4 children at once, though usually 1-2. Additionally, I have done several weeks of work experience at different primary schools, day cares and being a nanny, as well as volunteered at an orphanage in Egypt which I visit regularly once a year.
I would have liked to go into early childcare and youth development studies, but instead I am studying International Development in the hopes that when I finish, I will be able to help children in developing countries by building schools or programs to enable them to have a better chance in life through education.
