I am a 24 year old student who has worked in childcare for over 7 years. I have been a live-in nanny thrice in England- I just returned in December from another year in London working sole charge 60 hours a week with a family with kids 8, 6 and 2. I am currently working casually with two brisbane-based families I have worked with previously. All of my previous and current families (7) can provide very positive references.

With kids, I enjoy doing art and craft, reading, cooking, going for walks, water play, drawing etc (all the usual kid stuff, depending on age) but also believe that it is really important for kids to play, and enjoy joining in with games and stimulating their imagination. I wouldn't say that i'm strict with kids, but also won't back down on anything important. I believe it is important for kids to have a structured routine and will help to provide that in a family.

Basically: I love kids, I really enjoy my job, and I'm very good at it. I am reliable, trustworthy and hard working, and am more than happy for families to direct me to help out in any way- cooking, cleaning, chores etc. I don't have my own car but do have a license.. I live close to public transport and always to my best to be punctual, flexible and honest with my families.

I am currently studying Primary education at UQ, the joy for me comes from the practical side! Before uni I had been working as a flight attendant for four years (taking care of a lot of children in flight!), before that tutoring english and babysitting in Vienna (can speak German) for a year. I have extensive experience with higher needs children including ADD, ADHD, Autism, Aspergers etc. All up I have around 12 years childcare and babysitting experience. For the past two years I have been a nanny to a family taking care of a two boys now 2.5 and 9. I am available every night and am happy to do overnight stays, weekends are also available.
