I have been working for the past 3 months as an In Home Carer, caring for children aged 5,7 and 10, however my contract has ended. In this role I was responsible for school pick up and drop off, cooking family meals, light house cleaning, washing, assisting children with homework, taking children to activities and providing outings and entertainment.
I have also recently graduated from a Bachelor in Social Science (Counselling) and am passionate about working with kids. I have been working with children in several different community agencies for the past 3 years, I have provided these children with experiences such as counselling, grief and loss programs, general child care and craft classes. Through this, I have worked with many different age groups, varying from 1 years old to 12 years old, I have no preference to age groups, they all have something unique to offer.
Ideally I'm looking for full time work during the day and possibly after school. I'm more than happy to also do the occassional weekend or over night stay.
I love working with kids and the joy they bring to life, I hope to make a difference in their lives as I'm sure they'll make a difference in mine.
