Hi my name is Camille. I grew up in Brisbane and attended our lady of Mt Carmel (Coorparoo) as a child, and Loreto College (Coorparoo) as a teenager. I have completed a three year course in fashion design and marketing.

I have worked for a mother in Newcastle. My Morning duties included, organising her daughter for school in the morning, making lunches and dropping her to school. As of the afternoon my duties included: picking up her daughter from school, helping her complete homework, taking her out for entertainment and cooking and cleaning the home. I also created a new schedule and routine for her daughter which saw her grades and attitude improve over night.

I like to get children into a routine and have many techniques I use which have worked brilliantly in the past, from the sticker system, to my carry around place mat for time outs (on the go). Luckily all the children I have watched have been wonderfully behaved so time out was hardly needed. I take my own health and diet seriously. Nutritious healthy meals will always be prepared for children using fresh and mostly organic ingredients. I can hide vegies in everything! I am an over achiever and a perfectionist and actually enjoy house work. I am very organised and work well with a similar family.

I thrive off children and relish taking care of them. I have the ability to make children feel comfortable and at ease. I enjoy working with children of all ages and would take a genuine interest in the needs of your children. Their success is mine. I know all the wiggles songs, all favourite characters, perfect kid hang outs in Brisbane and have taught two children to swim from scratch. I am the queen at Gymboree, can change a nappy in lightning speed and make a fool out of myself when I dance and sing!

I enjoy hard work, and am self-motivating and very passionate. I am an energetic and enthusiastic person. I also adapt quickly to new things and would find it no problem to learn in a short period of time.

More recently I worked with an amazing family and their new born daughter and 3 year old son (started working for this family when their son was only two, Baby girl was born one year later and i took over her full time care) for going on three years. I worked a full 7am to 6pm day and relished the job. I often accompanied them on holidays and worked 12 hour days. I cooked three meals, completed all washing and ironing and organised the home. I was left in charge of their new house move while they were away, a task that required a lot of trust of their half. I often did weekends as well with sufficient notice. I no longer work for this family as they have sadly moved away but still see the kids on a regular basis. At least twice a month if not more. I still often do work for them when needed and most recently did a four day shift with the children over the weekend. I met the family through this website. (EDIT) I recently was asked by the family to move to NSW to work with them again (Jan-August) and have just recently returned back to Brisbane.

Previous to this I worked with another family of whom I had been with since May 2010. I cared for their 14 month old daughter three days a week. I also worked two weekend nights a month for them. I was given the privilege to care for their daughter when the mother was in hospital having their second child.

Currently Working eleven hour days for a beautiful family in Ascot. Hours will drop back to midday to six shortly.

Children of any age interest me and I am always eager to learn from them. I find it no problem working with 0-12 months old. I am often asked if I am a mother and for my age of 24 I find that a compliment. I have a first aid certificate and am up to date on all current child care techniques.

I have a blue card and recently completed a ‘caring for children” eight hour first aid course with St John’s which was amazing! This course is designed to meet the first aid needs of parents and guardians, members of the child care industry and members of the public who may be entrusted with the care of babies and children up to 12 years of age.

Competencies: HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR and HLTFA201A - Provide Emergency Life Support

I own and drive my own car, a Toyota yarris. It is a very safe car with 6 air bags and a Safe-T-Cell. I have satellite navigation which helps with getting children to activities.
