To put it simply, I love working with children, because children make me smile.

A few years ago I started a traineeship at a childcare centre, working full time hours, whilst studying for my certificate 3 in childcare through on the job training. In this time I worked with children aged 0 to 5, though was predominately based within the 2 to 3 year old's room, which is an age group I absolutely love caring for. For a period of approximately 6 months I was head teacher in the 2 to 3 year old's room and my duties included caring for an amazing 2 year old autistic boy 3 days a week. In addition to caring for the 2 to 3 year old's, I also spent 1 day per week in the other rooms at the centre, half the day in the babies (0 to 2's) room, and the other half of the day with the 3 to 5's.
Since completing my traineeship I have held 5 separate nanny positions caring for children aged 0-7. Names & contact details of all 5 families will be provided to you upon request. Most recently I held a position in Sydney, 2 full days a week, Thursday & Friday, caring for an amazing little boy aged 20 months, a position which I have held since he was 4 months old. Ideally I am looking for full time hours, yet I am happy to work only a few days if that is all that is required. I am extremely flexible regarding hours, early starts & late finishes being no problem. Pay rates are negotiable.

Children absolutely amaze me in so many ways. I love listening to them laugh, teaching them new things, but most importantly, never forgetting to have fun, because after all, isn't that what being a child is all about?
