I am a responsible, loving, friendly and enthusiastic young woman of 20 (21 in April). I have strong maternal instincts and a natural affinity with children of all ages. I have work experience as a swimming teacher, my work ranging from mum’s and bubs to squad levels, babysitting for family friends and am now currently in my second job through findababysitter.com.au

I believe that children are the future. I believe that they are sponges. They absorb and retain everything you teach them, everything you explain to them and your personal outlooks on life influence theirs. There can be no greater responsibility than being a good role model.

I am currently in my second year at university studying a Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Historical and Political Thought pathways to Masters of Education (Primary) - so essentially I will be a primary school teacher when I finish.

I like to go for walks, play games, tell stories, and encourage children to think with their imagination and let their creativity run wild. I also like the children I look after to think of me as a big sister - someone they can rely on to look after them and to grow close to.

For nearly 30 yrs I was an infants/primary school teacher, but I resigned nearly 5 years ago to pursue my first love, nannying.
I currently work 2 afternoons at a tutoring college, but would love to pick up 1 or 2 days, nannying.
I currently care for a 13 month old baby, but this job will finish at the end of May.
I have lovely references, both written and phone, from my previous employers.

I am happy to do light house work, as I like to be busy when baby is asleep.
I just love babies and preschoolers. I enjoy reading to them, playing games with them and taking them on little walks and outings.
I would describe myself as friendly, loyal, caring, kind, very organised, yet flexible. (You have to be flexible when with children!)
I have 4 children aged 28 to 16 years old, so for many years I had my own preschool at home!!!
I am a happily married, non smoker with a 37year unblemished driving record. My 24 month old car has a professionally fitted baby seat.I also have a current first aid certificate and have had training in analphylatic reactions and the use of an epi pen, (from my teaching years). I still have an employment number with the Dept of Education, and also have a police check.
