My name is Nadia, im 30 years and is from Denmark.
I am a qualified therapist/educator with 8 years of experience, having been working with children and adults since 2003. I used my bachelors qualifications from Haderslev Pædagog Seminarium, which gave me both a theoretical and practical basis for working with people of all ages and with differing social and educational requirements, to assist me in obtaining my degree in neuropsychology from VUC in Århus 2011.

In my 8 years` experience, I have worked with “normal” children and children born with disabilities ranging form Down`s syndrome, autism, ADHD and other physical/mental disabilities. I have also worked with adults with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida and other neurological disorders. I am experienced in using lifts to assist them with tasks including bathing and lifting them into their electric wheelchair. I have also completed a medicine course, which qualifies me to administer appropriate medicine to the patients.

Describing me, my friends and work colleagues would mention that I am responsible, organised, outgoing, flexible and great when working in a team and independently. I possess excellent organisational skills, and am a genuinely optimistic and happy person. I enjoy making other people happy, both the residents and work colleagues.

I enjoy making a difference to the people I work with and seeing them develop gives me a unique sense of joy. I possess self-confidence in my ability to work with both children and adults with physical/mental disabilities. I believe that respect, empathy and the ability to listen residents is key to their happiness and overall development, whether with young children or adults.

We are all equal as individuals but not everyone is given the same opportunities in life. I believe that everyone deserves the right to a happy, loveing and meaningful life, and I truly enjoy giving the people that i work with, that opportunity.

I love beeing outside. Swimming, playing football, jumping on trampoline or just sitting on a blanket in the shade with toys.

I am interested in doing domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, shopping and cook.

I have a drivers licenses but no car.

The last 3 months i have been working on a farm near Moree - taking care of the house and a 3 year old boy.

I live 5 min. from Central Station.

I have just finished working for a family in Maroubra looking after three gorgeous girls 2,5 and 7 years of age. I worked for this family five days a week for 4 months but unfortunately they are moving to QLD in two weeks.

My morning duties for this position included; waking the children up and getting them ready for school, giving them breakfast, preparing packed lunches, ensuring homework is complete for that day and walking the two older girls to school.

I have Ella (2 year old) throughout the day. I take Ella to play group one morning a week and to her swimming lessons another morning. Ella has a sleep in the middle of the day which alllows me to do any light house work that has been left for me.

In the afternoon I collect Rylee and Natalie from school and take them to any after school activities. Each evening the girls read their home reader to me and I sign their book off when they are comfortable with their efforts. I cook dinner for the 3 girls every night, bath them and get them ready for bed.

I am looking for a long term position 12 months +.
I have both my senior and advanced first aid certificate.
I have worker as a sole charge nanny in Australia for four months but have years of child minding and baby sitting experience back in Ireland. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with children and am dearly missing my beautiful Godchild who is back in Ireland.
