Family and friends mean so much to me and the thought of being welcomed into a new family is heart-warming and something I would greatly treasure and never take for granted.

I am currently on a gap year after just completing my A-Levels back in England, where I studied French, History and my favourite subject, English Language, which included child language aquisition and development. Whilst I enjoyed my studies, I wanted to take a year out in order to gain more experience of the working world, to meet new people and try out life on the other side of the world, however on my return to the UK I intend to resume my studies and go to university, to further educate myself in English language, particularly child development and French.

I do have a substantial amount of experience when looking after children, as I have been babysitting since I was 15 years old. In some instances, this included children with learning difficulties whom I met through my elder brother and his friends who also have severe learning difficulties and I was required to care for them. During the babysitting hours, I would help the children with their homework, cook them meals, tuck them into bed after a story and once I passed my driving test over a year ago, I could take them to activities further away! Whilst the age ranges of the children varied a lot between 1 and 13, I never found myself unable to cope and to this day I still think back on all the children fondly and about how much fun we had together. I was also one of the leaders of Rainbows (a girlguiding group for 5-7 year olds in England), in which I would organise, supervise and take part in the activities to increase my experience in childcare and what better job is there than helping children grow and being a part of so much energy?

I absolutely adore animals, particularly my 3 year old Cavalier King Charles back in England called Maxie, who I think of and treat just like a baby. I have had a great deal of experience with animals as in addition to owning all kinds, many friends and family friends would ask me to pet-mind when they went on holiday.

I’m 30 year old, French, and for the past 3 years I have been living in New Caledonia working as a specialised educator for the regional department of health and social affairs.

I’m looking for an opportunity to live in Australia for 6 months to discover the culture with a family and improve my level of English. The possibility of living as an Au Pair is quite exciting for me. I have considerable experience in living abroad and working with children. I respect the household rules, I am considerate of a family's privacy and cheerful and easy to live with.

I am a qualified Specialised Educator, with a terminal vocational diploma in Child Care. I worked many years as summer camp counselor, early childhood educator, and specialised social officer and educator in France I have experience with children from all ages, new-born to teenagers, in playful summer camps, and special settings in specialised schools and clinics. I also hold a certificate in first aid training which enables me to provide emergency care should any problems or accidents arise.

I have always enjoyed working with children and I am a caring, dynamic, and organised person. I have a passion for dance (salsa, samba) and teach samba, I enjoy outdoors sports (diving, sailing, volley ball, hill walking), and also enjoy quiet times, reading, cinema, and cooking.

I am planning to arrive in Sidney in June 2012 for 3 months at 1 year. I must say my current level of English is not so good and I will be looking for English classes during my stay. Therefore I would hope to stay close to the city with convenient public transport.

Hi there!!! I've adored being around children ever since I was one. Their eagerness, innocence, curiosity and general happiness is what makes my world keep spinning :-)

From the age of 12, I was babysitting my cousins and then had my first part time job at 14 as a gymnastics coach. Whilst studying Primary Teachig at University, I became the co-ordinator for my local councils' vacation care program. I also continued with various babysitting jobs and did tutoring aswell.

I have worked as a primary teacher for 8yrs and have experience teaching children K-6.

Through my other roles I have worked with children as young as 6months up to 16yrs. I also have a vast amount of experience with special needs children having been the supervisor for the special needs vacation care program for 3yrs, coaching gymnastics to a group of autistic children and various other special needs children I have catered for in my classroom as a primary educator.

I have now decided on a new endeavour with children and that is to involve myself in their lives through the world of nannying. I currently have experience nannying for a variety of families with children ranging from 4 months up to 13.

Obviously, I want to help out you champion mums & dads too......

I have my own car, am in the process of obtaining a police check and would be more than happy to re-sit my first aid qualification if required. I love children and since I'm from a big family (I have 2 nephews and 1 niece), I was grown up looking after them. My most recent work experience was with kids between 0,2-5 years old.

I can provide experience, pictures and references from my work here as Childcare assistant, and I can provide pictures from my work in Brazil. I have a First Aid Certificate, a brazilian driver's license where I can provide translation here, if necessary. I think children are our future so we need to look after them like they are our treasure.

I've been living here for 1 year and a half and I'm starting an MBA so I'm going to stay here for at least 2 years. I'm saying that because I know how important it is for the parents to have someone who they can rely on for a long time. I'm looking for work from Monday to Friday (7am-1pm/6pm-10pm) and Saturday to Sunday I have more flexibility (7am-10pm).

Then I worked for a toy company mainly taking orders and prepare goods ready for clients. This job knowledge me to be a cautious person because tiny mistake might lead to big financial loss. Similarly, to be a babysitter, always need to pay fully attention to kids and aware the potential danger around.

I can drive and currently holding overseas diving license, which only need simply translation. But I am not familiar with roads or rules here, so I wouldn't recommend myself as a driver.
