I'm 19 years old and have spent much of the last two years involved in different environments. Between 2010 and mid 2011 I assisted infrequently in my church's sunday school program. I spent 5 months as a volunteer at an orphanage in Johannesburg being a full time caregiver to over 40 children ranging from new born babies to 5 year olds. My responsibilities here included bathing, changing, feeding, preparing food, cleaning, medicating (including treatment for TB and HIV/AIDS and basic therapy for cerebral palsy), teaching a pre school class, taking children to hospital for appointments and providing love and entertainment for them. This work ranged from 10-15 hours a day, 6 days a week.
