Hi there,
My name is Laura and I am a healthy minded, caring and trustworthy person who loves children. I am a Registered Carer with the Family Assistance Office (for rebates) and have completed my Certificate III in Children's Services plus Senior First Aid. I have attended workshops on topics such as 'Dealing with Conflict'; 'Kids with Epilepsy' and 'Traveling with Children Safely'. Last year I studied nutrition via correspondence for six months and obtained a Certificate in Nutrition.
As well as casual babysitting for infants/toddlers/children aged from 7 weeks to 15 years old for the past five years, I was a sole charge nanny for family for nearly three years from the time their two gorgeous children were aged 23 months and 5 months until they were 5 and 3 and a half. During this position the mother had a third baby boy so for the last few months of the role I was caring for three boys under five all at home!
In May I decided to further pursue my passion for nutrition and study full time to obtain a Diploma of Nutritional Medicine, however, unfortunately my college timetable clashed with my work hours so I had to say finish up working for that family although I am very fortunate to still be in close contact with them. Over the last three years the children and I have become extremely close, and I am happy that I will still get to babysit them on an occasional basis. I have been nannying a little boy since he was 5 months old, for the last six months we had a nanny share set up where I was also looking after a little girl of the same age. Unfortunately the girls mother had a change in employment and cant continue so we are looking for somebody else to NANNY SHARE with.

'L' is now aged 17 months so we are looking for a child aged between 14-20 months old to share so that they are close in age.
We can alternate houses so each child gets a turn at their usual surroundings.

I have experience with autistic and children with special needs. My dad works in a Forster college down south so I go down occasionally to take the kids horse riding, help them learn to read and just be their friend.
I have both my Senior and Advanced first aid certificate, i will also be doing my Cert III in youth care this year through correspondence so it will not get in the way of my work as i can finish it at my own pace. With this certificate i will be working with kids that have alcohol and drug problems in the future.
