FREE ACCOMMODATION IN SELF CONTAINED BUNGALOW
We are a family with three children who have a lovely, spacious, self contained bungalow - all newly renovated. We would love to have someone live there who in return is able to help us by doing house work during the week and be flexible to do the odd school pick up and one evening a fortnight babysitting.
It is ideal for someone with other work in the neighbourhood as we only require approx 10 hours of work per week and you would have your own lovely space to live. We would ask for just $50/week to cover expenses. We are flexible with days and times of needing help, and are an easy going, happy family. Our children are ages 7, 10 and 13.

We are a professional couple looking for a caring, reliable, responsible and experienced nanny to care for our three children - identical twin girls (5 years) and baby boy(9 months). We would consider ourselves to be a warm, loving family and would really love to find a nanny with a warm, patient and caring nature to compliment our own style.
You would be someone who genuinely enjoys being with and looking after children and who is happy to play with them and make every day activities educational (ie measuring flour when cooking). We have limited TV in our house (only Playschool) so you must be someone who can think of other means of entertaining the kids (outdoor play, arranging activities etc). Having a current drivers' licence and own car is essential. Our girls will be starting school next year so care will predominately be for the baby during the daytime however duties will include dropping off and/or picking up the girls from school. We are a non-smoking household and require a non-smoker.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children
•Supervise the children’s activities at all times
•Plan and prepare meals & snacks and bottles for, and feed, the children
•Teach the children good social manners
•Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors
•Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the children
•Drive the children to and from activities
•Putting the baby down for naps
•Changing baby's nappies and clothing
•Washing and folding clothes as required for all household members
•Bathing the children
•Playing with the kids and taking them for walks to the park etc
•Cleaning and general housekeeping
•In 2015 - drop off and pick up of the girls to and/or from primary school
You will need a current First Aid certificate, Working With Children police check certificate and a current driver’s licence. A Certificate in Child Care will also be highly regarded but is not essential. You must have a safe driving history.
If you would like to apply for this position, please email a current resume with details of your previous nanny experience, and written references. I hope to hear from you!

We are a happy family of three (Mum, Dad and a nearly three year old daughter) with a precious new addition due in October 2014. As busy professionals, we are looking for a helping hand, as follows:
A fun loving, responsible person who will look after our children, as though their own. Our little people are so precious! - Their safe and happy care must be the priority.
Experience as an Au Pair is preferred but not necessary. However, prior experience in caring for toddlers and infants, is a must. Professional qualifications in the areas of childhood development would be advantageous.
We believe that having fun, building confidence, and exploring the world safely is the main goal in life at age 3, so having lots of energy and being prepared to “play babies” or “shops” endlessly, is necessary. For our soon to be newborn, you need to be able to provide a calm and routine environment, while otherwise offering up age appropriate stimulation, like lots of reading and singing.
Our au pair/nanny must be fluent in English, but will also ideally speak another language (Italian would be wonderful!). Knowledge of Montessori principles would also be great, although certainly not required. Any additional skills that can entertain small people, such as dancing or playing an instrument, would be a fantastic added bonus.
Finally, light-house hold chores and errands are required for the job. However, child care will always be the priority. Where there is time in amongst the nappy changes and feeding, we hope our au pair will assist with things such as: hanging or folding washing, dinner prep (e.g. chopping vegetables), unpacking the dishwasher, online food ordering, and general house-keeping. Tedious though such things may be, these tasks allow us to keep our household running and are therefore critical to keeping our home and busy lives, on track.
We would like our au pair to start between now and early January 2015. We are looking for someone who will work four full days per week, Monday to Thursday, from 7am till 5pm, plus one night a week (may be midweek, so mum and dad go to the gym, or a Friday or Saturday night, so mum and dad can have a quick bite out) as agreed between us. Additional hours, if any, would be agreed on an ad hoc basis, at an hourly rate.
Our eldest child will, from the end of January 2015, be at kindergarten 9am – 12pm, Monday to Friday (although in the initial weeks of 2015, her attendance will only be a couple of days per week, not the full five days). As such, drop offs and pick-ups are required. The morning hours will then be spent with “the newborn”, who by then will be 4 months old, with care of the older child then resuming in the afternoons.
It’s important to note that Mum works in the house (upstairs) and so will generally be around. Work permitting, she will feed the baby herself and otherwise come and spend time with you and the kids, as she is able to. Some weeks work will be too busy, and you will barely see her, and on other weeks, when the work load is less, she might go to the park, cafe or swimming pool with you, or otherwise just come down for a “hello” and a bit of a play, or help put one of the kids down for a nap.
Pay is negotiable and is to be discussed during the hiring process. It will however be broadly within the range of average market rates paid to au pairs in Melbourne, Australia. We will otherwise provide you with accommodation in the form of our fabulous, fully self-contained and just renovated pool house with Queen bed, own bathroom and kitchenette, WIFI, TV and lounge area (ironically, the main house itself remains un-renovated, but you will be in the “lap of luxury”). Food or food allowance will also be given and all utilities covered.
Our home is in a central part of Melbourne, close to lots of cool offerings of our beautiful city and with good public transport links.
Please let us know if you could be our Mary Poppins!

We are looking for a nanny for 15 month old boy girl twins. The position will be for 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday and Friday) and will start in late September or early October 2014. The hours are 8:30am to 7pm. We are looking for a reliable, confident, caring, organised, proactive, patient and fun nanny who at the heart of it all just loves working with children. Experience with twins ideal but not strictly necessary.
In addition to feeding, changing nappies, playing, entertaining and bathing the children I am also looking for someone who is willing to help out with light household duties such as general laundry, cooking/preparing food for kids, general tidying up.

I had a lot of trouble finding a sitter until I signed up for FAB. Being able to structure my search to pinpoint the suitable candidates was great (I needed an overnight sitter who didn't charge the earth). Our new sitter is great and my boys love her. Thank you FAB.Melissa (Wollongong, NSW) Read More
