We are looking for an energetic, fun and caring nanny to support a stay-at-home Mum in looking after a 2 1/2-year old and a 3-month old.
We are a loving family with two great kids (daughter - 2 and son - 3 months). Dad works full-time and has an unpredictable travel schedule. Mum is staying at home with eventual plans to return to part-time work in 6-9 months.
We would like someone to support us in looking after the kids from 12 to 8pm each day from Monday through Thursday (with some flexibility which we can discuss). Activities will include structured play, trips to activities and parks, bottle feeding and burping our baby, putting the kids to bed, bathing the kids, pick ups from daycare, cooking simple meals and doing basic work around the house (cleaning up after meals, laundry, changing bedsheets, etc. we already have a cleaner that comes once a week). Most of the time will be spent with our 2-year old daughter but comfort and confidence with babies is also important. Our first nanny was with us for a year (then went on to be a professional trainer). She enjoyed it very much and fell in love with our daughter; applicants with strong potential are welcome to speak with her.
We want to create a stimulating and relaxed environment for our kids and want to partner with someone who enjoys making that happen for little people. It's important that our nanny is energetic, bright, fun, caring, responsible, patient, confident and has good judgment. Our daughter is creative, sensitive and energetic. She enjoys painting, craft, cooking, and pretend play. Some prior experience with childcare is helpful, but nothing official required.
We will pay between $23 and $25 per hour based on experience, with approximately 32 hours per week to be expected and potentially more from ad hoc babysitting (upon agreement). We are looking for someone for 1-year at a minimum. Installing childseat in car is a must. Our house is a 10 minute walk to Lane Cove shops, with lots of parks nearby. Police check essential. References essential. Interviews to commence on Jan 8 2015, with trial to start shortly after as Dad goes back to work in late Jan.

We are looking for a caring organised person to look after our 3 gorgeous girls aged 5, 7 and 9 on an after school basis from late January 2015 between 2pm and 7pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and also ideally on a full time basis during school holidays. We have had live-in and live-out nannies for the last 7 years but as the girls have grown older we are now seeking after school care as we are both full time professionals. We have a beautiful and placid 6 year old golden Labrador so a love of dogs as well as children would be useful. Duties will include general childcare, driving the kids to their various activities, supervising homework, preparing school lunches, cooking the kids’ meals, ironing school uniforms, trips to the park with the dog and kids and some housekeeping such as clothes washing, tidying, household errands and grocery shopping. We also have a cleaner and a gardener who come to the house on a regular basis so no gardening or major cleaning are expected. The kids are great fun and would benefit from a nanny who loves music, role-playing, art, cooking and enjoying life generally. One child is celiac but otherwise, there are no allergies or major health issues. Supervision of homework and ensuring that school activities are coordinated and communicated is a key part of the role and so organisational skills, some ability with maths and sound English would be advantageous. A car is not required but an unrestricted driver’s licence and a good driving record are essential. Salary is negotiable for a minimum 10 hour week based on experience and is payable weekly. Overtime is payable in addition for babysitting after hours and occasionally weekends. We would like at least two references and can offer references from our former and current nannies who were with us for extended periods.Contact: Nikki

I have employed a number of nannies over the past 14 years for my three girls (via newspaper advertisements, general employment websites, nanny agencies, universities). This is the first time that I have used your website - it is definitely the best method by far! I found an excellent nanny within a couple of weeks. The site is particularly good as you can search for candidates that meet your specific requirements/location/availability etc and you can deal directly with your preferred candidates after initial contact. Well done to all involved.Nerida (Canterbury, VIC) Read More
