My name is Meg, I am 24. I am a Qualified Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) from Curtin University. I have approximately 10 years experience babysitting both privately and through agencies including Mother Hen, Cherished Cherubs and Perth Nanny Care. These jobs included home care of multiple children of different ages, mother respite when mothers have been unwell, tired or unable to care for baby, hotel babysitting, overnight care, as well as crèche care where i would be responsible for up to 5 children. I am happy to do some light housework if i have spare time during the day such as washing up, packing dishwasher etc.
In addition i have experience as a Camp Quality volunteer and companion, which gave me responsibility of 2 young girls during a week long camp. I also completed 2 seasons as a netball umpire and coach for year 4/5 girls and 2 years experience in Primary Schools as a part of working place learning during year 11 and 12 of my high school education. During years 11 and 12 I also took Early Childhood studies as part of my chosen subject which I achieved ‘A’ level grades. This class included learning about developmental stages of babies/children and designing activities for children which would foster their development and stimulate developmental changes.
As a part of my nurse training I also completed practical experience at Princess Margaret Hospital and Mercy Hospital on the children’s wards as well as in the nursery with the new born and premature babies. Completing my degree in nursing has also given me an extensive knowledge of healthy eating and safety which I apply to all my babysitting work.
During my year 12 education I also completed a workplace learning course one day at week at Ngala family resource centre. My role included observing and assisting parents with settling their babies. This experience equip me with an excellent understanding of the importance of maintaining children’s routines (bedtimes, meal times etc) and I feel an important part of my role as a nanny is to keep to the structure mums set for their children, keeping children happy and allowing them to get the most out of their day.

I have always thoroughly enjoyed babysitting and have developed trusting relationships with many families. I currently live in Carine with my mum and dad and I am happy to drive to many surrounding suburbs. I have a reliable car and my drivers license. I hold a Senior First Aid Certificate, a Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check.

I am currently working in a nanny position for a family with 3 children on Tuesday's and Wednesday's and Friday afternoons where my responsibilities include child
Care, school runs, food shopping, meal preparation, washing, ironing etc and am looking to fill Monday's and Thursday's with a similar position!
My currently availabiliy: Monday's all day and evening, Thursday's all day until about 5pm and Friday mornings until 2pm

I am a mother of 3 children; 2 boys aged 24 and 19; and my 15 year old daughter so have many years of experience with young babies to adolescents to young adults.

I have always worked during my years of bringing up my children with no extended family to help us so I understand and wish to help other working mums or parters who need help to be able to fulfill their career paths and continue to bring up a young family at the same time. I love interacting with children of all ages. As my children are growing up and one almost ready to leave our home I feel I can offer lots of experience, help and care to other families need to get to work or simply have some me or partner time.

I love to cook as well so am happy to get to the shops or get dinner ready at the same time or other tasks. I am happy to oblige with whatever is needed to help relieve the pressures and stresses when mums and dads come home from work so time with the children can be a priority.

I currently work Monday to Friday but avail at night or any time over the weekends. Available at short notice for last minute sitting whenever needed. If you have a large family my 15 year old daughter also babysits for our resident police officer in Carine and other professional couples in Duncraig on weekends and school holidays so is happy to help as well if needed at no extra cost.
