I have three sisters and a brother (two of my sisters have children that I have looked after).
I've looked after toddlers before but I'm probably more comfortable with school-age children.

Since I was aged 15 years old, I have regularly looked after not only my own siblings, but also those of family friends.1 In this time, I have looked after 4 families of children, all ranging in ages from 3 to 16. I have undertaken mainly weekend babysitting on Saturday and Sunday nights, but have also worked during school holidays, looking after children while their parents are at work.
In the past year, I have also worked as a Swimming Teacher, which had given me more experience working with school children and learning how to best interact with them. Additionally, I tutored a high school student in maths last year, which gave me the opportunity to modify how best to communicate effectively with school aged children.

I have always loved children, and find it hard to resist the opportunity to sit down and talk or play with them. I love experiencing the joy and excitement they exhibit even if over the slightest things. I enjoy the relationships you build with them, and the way you watch them grow, learn and develop overtime.
As I am studying at university, I am looking for casual babysitting jobs, mainly over the weekends, but through negotiation, I may be able to undertake some after school work on certain days (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Due to my current university timetable, I am unfortunately limited in my flexibility to work throughout the week. Three years ago I became a live-in nanny for a family of three children, aged 6, 11 and 15, while their mother was away oversees for two months.
