I have spent four months working in Australia in hospitality but this is not where my heart lies and I am looking forward to moving back to my true vocation of working with children. I have an honours degree in primary school teaching and have spent the last four years in and out of the classroom, unfortunately unable to find a more permanent placement due to the difficult economic climate Ireland is experiencing. I passed my A-levels this past summer (math and politics as the main subject) and traveled to Spain and Greece, before I started workig as a volunteer in a bilingual kindergarten (German and English). I've been learning English for 9 years and French for 5 years.

My first work with children was when I made an internship in a kindergarten, when I was sixteen. From then on I provided childcare to a few families and my little cousin.
I also worked for a single mother with three kids when I was 16, but only for a few months until they moved to another city.
Since October 2011 I have been working for a family with three wonderful children (9, 10 and 11). I cared for them in the evening until they go to bed and sometimes I stayed with them for a few days when the parents are on a business trip, which includes chores like cleaning, cooking and shopping. I was also helping a cute, Irish family with their twin girls(8 months), which includes playing, bathing, feeding and lying them down for a nap. Its so much fun with them.
Before I came to Melbourne I was working in a bilingual kindergarten to learn more about childcare and how to work with children.
In addition I worked at an after school club everyday and help the children (1st to 4th grade) with their homework and supervised it.
Spending time with children means a lot of fun and pleasure to me and I think that I get along quite well with children.
