Media Initiative combines cartoon media messages around diversity with an early year’s program. This is done using five puppets with different backgrounds. Together they aim to promote positive attitudes to physical, social and cultural differences amongst young children, practitioners and parents. The messages also address bullying behaviors. I have also completed training in “managing challenging behaviour for children”. The course looked at many different types of childhood behaviours and how to reduce negative behaviour with the use of stimulating activities. It also gave the learners an understanding of the different childhood behaviours.
