I started my diploma on the 8th of August and completed 6 months before being offered a place in a Bachelor of Education (early childhood and primary) which I started in February 2012. Hi my name is Genevieve, I have been looking after children for over 10 years now. Both casual baby-sitting and full time nanny work. I have looked after children of all ages (newborns to teens). I have also looked after triplets for there first 6 months of life both at night time and during the day. I love working with children, as you can see I especially like working with newborns.

i knew that i had a love for looking after kids after completing work experience in a child care centre. i love the company of children simply because they always seem to be energetic and have such vivid imaginations. i come from a large italian family where there are many young children so i am well aware of how hectic looking after children can be. i am well aware of how to care for a new born baby and also how to interact with older children. i have been a baby sitter for many different children since i was 16. The children's ages varied from new born babies to teenage children. i have also had the experience of babysitting mentally disabled children, although this was challenging at first i eventually grew more comfortable with the child's situation. because i am currently studying at university and have a causual job working as a promotion and sales assistant i am very flexible as to the hours i am needed to work.
