Christine ~ Bundaberg South

51 year old Female babysitter and nanny

I have been employed in the childcare and teacher aide professions for approx 14 years. I hold a current Blue card for Working with Children Police Security Check, and also a current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR. The past 8 years I have worked fulltime as a teacher aide in a prep classroom at a School. I have also raised 2 sons of my own. They are both adults now. Our children's lives are so very precious, what ever age they may be. I am aware of the developmental stages babies, toddlers, prep and school age children go through. Patience and understanding are two very important factors in caring for children of all ages. Being aware of their individual personalities and needs is most important. A healthy diet is very important for growing children as well as exercise and rest. An even balance is necessary for a child to reach his/her full potential.

Looking for: Casual Evening Babysitting, Casual Weekend Babysitting

Education Status: Course Complete - Cert III in Children's Services at Australian Professional Training Institute,Brisbane and QLD TAFE Teacher Aide and Tutoring Courses

Other Skills: Babies and children love "happy" music and enjoy clapping and dancing to the tunes. Music always lightens the mood in a room and brings a smile to children's faces. Older children like to sing as well. Art is exciting for them, as well as age appropriate games and activities. Story reading is usually popular and after reading the story children sometimes like to use their imagination and think of their own stories. Art and drawings can follow on from this as well, bringing their ideas to life on paper. The possibilities are endless with children's enthusiasm for fun and learning.

Emma ~ Bundaberg South

21 year old Female babysitter and nanny

I am looking for work in this field due to my love for children and caring for them. I have recently completed my bachelor of learning management specialising in early childhood care and begun my post graduate studies in psychological science. I am looking to move to the Brisbane area depending on employment opportunities to gain further experience with children and families.
I am currently working as a Kindergarten teacher in the Bundaberg area as I completed my studies late 2011. I have not had specific experience caring for children in the home setting however I feel that with my knowledge and skills I could adapt these to suit any environment and context.
I currently work with children aged specifically between 3 and 5 however I also have opportunities to work with children from five days old. I have also had practicum experience working with children aged from five to twelve years of age over a three year time span.
I hope to find employment caring for younger children as this is where I hold most knowledge and experience although I am willing to work with children who are also older. I am looking for full time employment preferably during the day and afternoons on week days. However, I am also flexible for some weekend work for different occasions along with nights.
I am very enthusiastic and passionate about children and their capabilities. I am responsible and feel that I am a trustworthy and reliable person. I hope that these attributes will be recognised as important for a person caring for young children.

Looking for: Full-time Afterschool Care, Full-time Daytime Work

Education Status: Course Complete - Bachelor of Learning Management specialising in early childhood at CQUniversity

Other Skills: - qualified teacher - specialised studies in early childhood education

Residency status: Permanent
