Hello, I am 28 years old. I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood (primary teaching) and have been working with children for over 7 years. I have worked in many different areas in the early childhood sector which has given me great experience and love for working with children.

I currently work at a primary school during the day as a Special Education Teacher and have been in this role now for 4 years.I also do casual baby sitting in the evenings and on weekends. I have a couple of families I regularly babysit for that range from 10 months right through to 9 years of age. I am extremely competent in multi tasking, family routines and behaviour management. I have also worked in child care centres, mainly in school holidays.
I am comfortable with all age children and I always take games and fun art activities to suit the age and gender of your children to keep them entertained for the day or night (instead of just watching T.V). I don't just bring pencils and colouring books, I bring activties that include - plaster moulds, beading bracelets/necklaces, painting on canvases and photo frames, mosaic activties and other fun craft ideas. I am always buying new art activties, so your children will never be bored with what I bring for them. If baby sitting through the day I like to also do some cooking with the kids as this is something I enjoy doing. I also always do some light cleaning duties for my babysitting families ( i.e washing and drying dishes, tidying toys and toy areas, taking washing off line and folding).


I am a very organised, proficient person who always puts in 100% with what I do. I have an updated fist aid certificate, up to date resume with references of families I babysit for and I regularly attend Professional Development courses to ensure my teaching skills and experiences with children are up to date and correct.

I would like to do a few babysitting jobs to gain more experience with kids for my future work. I'm also saving for a car/move to Melbourne and need to extra pocket money that I'm not able to get from my current, casual job.

Availability would depend on how often work is offered, generally my job offers me morning shifts on Thursday - Sunday, which can be compromised as I would prefer to babysit and obtain that knowledge with children.

I have a Blue Card and can sometimes use my mothers car until I have enough money to purchase my own.

I really enjoy working with children and find it a really rewarding job. I have babysat since i was 16 and now work within a child care setting, I have my Diploma in Childrens Services and in July just completed my Bachelor in Human Services. Over the past couple of years working at a childcare centre I have been group leader in a number of the rooms ranging from the nursery through to the pre-school room. Ideally I am looking for weekend/evening (5.30pm onwards) work with any age group. I have experience with those with disabilities and learning difficulties, completing my placement for uni in a special school. I am more than happy to help with school projects for older children through to taking the children to sporting events. I am flexible with the times and place of care, to allow for un-expected events etc.
I have a blue card, open drivers license, reliable car, fitted with a child seat and am happy to send on some references and copies of qualifications. I am a registered carer so you are able to claim back the minimum CCB.
