I'm a retired mother of two adult children who loves working with children of all ages. I am a Blue Card holder.I have previously worked in an aged care setting but have always had a desire to work with children, something I am now able to enjoy in my retirement. Since retiring I have only worked for one family for about two months so far, but I really enjoy the experience of looking after the children (ages 5, 7 and 9). Having had two children of my own, I feel I am more than capable of caring for children of any age. Both of my children are successful in their respective careers of engineering and nursing. Ideally, I am looking for casual work at times that are flexible. While I have no major commitments at the moment, I prefer to work around my husband's days off as he is a shift worker, but I am more than happy to negotiate. I am also very flexible when it comes to household duties. Overall, I am a kind, trustworthy, responsible and creative person who has a love of working with children, with a strong desire to do so now that my children are grown. I'm currently a university student studying drama and teaching looking for extra casual work with children. I currently have a blue card and previous experience in baby sitting children and looking after them. I find great enjoyment in interacting with children and having fun. Ideally I would love to have a permanent evening nanny or babysitting job so I can get to know the child better and watch them grow. I am also willing to pick up casual jobs. I have previous first aid experience and am working on bringing my certificate up too date. I'm often readily available in the evening on short notice however for daytime jobs i may need more notice. I am fairly flexible though i do need to work around university hours. I have an engaging outgoing personality and look forward to meeting and working with new children in the future.
