I have had more than 10 years of childcare experience and attended the Australian Careers Business College but had to move before gaining my qualifications. I am looking to continue my studies next year and would very much like to remain in this profession while I save.

I am a fifty-five year old lady who has raised 2 children of my own and looked after neices and nephews from newborn to primary school aged. Recently I had the pleasure of working with a family for 6 months caring for their 7 month old baby girl until I relocated.

Previously, I have worked as a AIN/Carer for the elderly for 16 years. I no longer wish to work full time and am seeking a part time job working with children as I have always found it so rewarding.

I have had a love of children my whole life, always looking after them at church, and friend's houses and anywhere else I saw them.
I have been doing paid babysitting jobs since I was 14 for a number of friends, and also for people they have introduced me to.
I have looked after all ages, and even teens as I have gotten older myself. I again have looked after friends children, but I have also worked in a childcare centre for 5 months and am currently studying education support and doing placement in a special school. I also do volunteer work with primary aged students.
Ideally I am looking for some casual work or even some permanent part-time work. As I am studying,I do have a couple of other commitments, but I am happy to discuss times with anyone and I may be able to change some times of my other commitments.
I currently have no First Aid Qualifications, but I have had them in the past, and haven't gotten to renewing yet, so I will be getting them again.

I have also done some paid tutoring jobs in the past, working with children up to about 12 years old, in some maths, english, reading and spelling, and I am willing to give anything else a go if they are having trouble.

Languages: I would love to learn Italian, but at this point in time, I don't really speak any other languages.
