I am currently studying Business with just over a year left of my degree to complete. I returned to Australia at the end of 2009 after 4 years living in Europe and the UK. During this time I was a live-in au pair for a lovely Scottish family in Edinburgh. When I began work there the boy was 1 turning 2 years old, and the girl was 6 turning 7 years old. I worked for them for a year and a half. I recently went back over to spend Christmas and New Years with them for 2010/2011, and they asked me back to stay and work while I was on holiday. I performed duties such as school drop off/pick ups, taking the children to extra-curricular activities, making their daily meals, sole care when the parent's went away for weekends, and also some housework. I also currently run my own small cleaning business so can help out in that area if needed. I have to say that out of all my previous work experience, I get the greatest amount of joy from spending my time looking after children, and seem to always be able to build a strong bond with them almost immediately.
