I feel that I would be best suited for the role because of my experience. I am the oldest from a family of 7 children which left me in a position to care for and understand the nuances of child sitting.

For the most part of my working life, I had previously worked in the automotive industry for 3 years after college graduation and then worked as a call center agent while I attended University in Melbourne. However personal matters have required me to move back to Canberra with my family.

I feel like moving into child sitting would be an excellent career choice, the job is unique and very rewarding. The hours are also perfect for my education situation. I am also interested in taking on employment for additional income as university life isn’t as glamorous as it’s made out to be.

I am a reliable and very punctual person with access to my own car and am very flexible with work hours. I like children and understand the importance of having a positive role model around at all times

Hi my name is Danni and I am 18 years old. I just graduated year 12 and I am currently on a gap year between going to University. I have always absolutely adored children and having a job that involves being around children seems perfect on my gap year. Being the oldest in not only my immediate family but my extended family I have always cared for and been around children. I have babysat for family friends when I was 16 caring for a 6 month old and a 2 year old. I am an Australian recognised coach and I coach children from 7-16 years old Calisthenics (gymnastic dance) 3 days a week. Because I am not at school this year I am mainly looking for a full time/ part time job that’s during the day 9-4pm due to my coaching commitments but certain days times can be quite flexible. I am also happy to help around the house (clean kitchen etc.)I don't have my own care YET but on some days I will have access to a car. :)

Hi,

I have been working in childcare for the last 4 years, as a private Nanny for two primary school aged girls, in a variety of early childcare centres as a support staff member with children from 6 weeks to 6 years as well as my degree in education in primary school teaching. I love working with kids because I love watching them grow and learn. At the moment I am looking for casual work, particularly on weekends, to supplement my current weekday temp job. However, I can also be available during weekdays and afternoons if given enough notice.

I also have experience working with children with disabilities in early childcare and primary schools.

I have my own (very reliable) car and would be happy doing late night babysitting, cooking dinners and putting the kid/s to bed.

My name is Jessica, I am a mother to a fabulous son, who (at the time of writing) is 9 months old. I know first hand the perils of finding a good babysitter/ childcare provider... in fact, that is why I am looking to become a childcare provider myself!! In March 2012, I planned to go back to work and enter my son into local childcare. After tears and soul searching, I have found that I'm simply not ready to have him in childcare. Instead, I'm hoping to look after my son and other children so that I can spend my time doing what I love most-- watching babies grow and develop, getting my hands dirty with crafts, and looking after the needs of children. In the States, where I am originally from, I obtained a certification in Elementary Education and as such am well versed in Child Development theories and practices. More important than that, though, I am loving, caring, creative and warm and will treat your children with the same care that I treat my son!
