I am currently studying at the ANU and living locally in Braddon.I previously worked for a wonderful family in Sydney.I had a great time engaging, entertaining and taking care of three children aged 5, 3 and 22 months. My duties included picking the eldest up from school and assisting her with her reading and writing, bathing the children and keeping them entertained, as well as some light housework. I come from a family of seven; I have three younger sisters and have always enjoyed the responsibility of helping to care for them. I have been babysitting for over four years, in both Australia and in the UK. I have experience with children ranging from 0-15 years, and for a year I worked in an after school club in a local primary school. My name is Laura and I love working, caring, playing with children.
I have babysat newborns, toddlers, my younger sister and cousins since I was around 15 years old.
I am a person who loves caring for children, helping them with learning, but knowing that the parents are the one's that are there to educate their children the way they want. I am a great support of that and respect the needs of parents and their children.
I love to do different activities, such as craft, cooking, reading, "teachers", going to the park, museums, aquariums, library etc. I love to explore and taking children to new places, but also allow for them to have down time and just be at home.
I make sure that the children I am looking after are always safe.

I am responsible and trustworthy, fun and outgoing with a passion for children.
I am great at cleaning and can cook a some nice meals.
I have just finished looking after 2 little boys in Melbourne aged 2 and 5. I get them ready of a morning, drop the eldest at school, get morning tea ready for the youngest, then go out and do activities all morning until lunch. I make lunch, and then it is sleep time. Once sleep time is over we then go and get the eldest from school, come home and do homework, have afternoon tea, play and prepare dinner. Once dinner is eaten it is then bath time, and then the day is over.
I am also working on Fridays along side a mother who has just had a newborn. I help with preparing meals, freezing large quantities included. I play and take the 14 month old on walks, and to the park and the cafe for a gingerbread man. I also look after and feed the newborn while the mother is out.

Where it all started:
I left a family in Sydney to move to Canberra two years ago, in which I nannied a 9 year old boy and 10 year old girl full time.
I organised their days, took them to school and picked them up from the bus of an afternoon. I prepared lunches and cooked their meals of a night, along with tidying up after them, doing their washing/ironing, helping with homework, and doing activities. I also did the family grocery shopping, whether it be once a week, or when things needed to be replaced.

I have just left Canberra and am now living in Essendon, Melbourne. In Canberra I babysat a 3, now 4 year old boy on a regular basis for a lovely couple who I used to babysit for in Sydney (as they also moved to Canberra just before I did). I have looked after him since he was around 10 months old.

I recently finished up working with such a wonderful family (due to moving). The little one's are a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. I help with feeding, bathing and entertaining.
Not a day is the same and that's what I love. I love watching the children grow and develop and being a part of their lives.

I have also babysat a couple's 4 children aged from 2 - 9 on occasions while living in Canberra.

I currently babysit 2 children here in Essendon on a casaul basis. I give them dinner, play with them, then we read a few books for school, then it is time for a "make-up" story before they go to sleep. They are such beautiful kids and I am lucky to be able to look them!

I have my full drivers licence, with a clean record and my own car (new) in which I bought while nannying in Sydney for the safety of the children. I am a very responsible driver especially with precious cargo in the car.
