I feel creating a safe yet loving and fun/creative environment is essential for little ones to grow up in! i have just graduated from art school. i love all things creative and love to explore the outdoors. i am responsible, mature, fun, energetic and easy going.
laughter is key.
I have been living in Canberra for more than four years. I really enjoy spending time with children and discovering their unique ways of thinking about the world, and fostering the interests they are beginning to develop.
I have been professionally babysitting for about seven years, although I have been involved in taking care of children for many years. I am a mature and responsible carer, and above all love my job. I am also relatively flexible regarding hours/pay.

As a teenager I used to have the privilege of playing with my cousins and sometimes looking after them, and during the course of the last seven years I’ve been babysitting for a number of families. One of the first families that I worked for had three children but I mainly babysat two of their children; the 6 and 8 year old and sometimes their little brother who was 3 and I think that this has been a great experience (as well as babysit an adorable three year old for almost two years and a one year old for over a year). I like children because I think they make adults lives happier and I also think that you learn from children and they learn you. One of the things that I enjoy the most about children is their learning process for instance when they learn to talk or the questions that they make. I am looking for a part-time or casual job. I also have some cooking abilities that might help and if parents what I could help their children with their homework.

Hi!! I'm a full time secondary teacher at a local Catholic High School in the ACT region, teaching Mathematics and Music. For the last two years, however, I have been living in Virginia, USA, employed as a full-time Nanny for two gorgeous twins. During this time, the twins transitioned from bottle feeding to solids and from nappies to potty training. In addition, I transitioned them into their new Montessori School which I prepared them for to the best of my ability through educational play in the home, story time sessions at the Library, day trips to various museums & music concerts and of course, lots of play outside! We (my husband and I) became life long friends with the twins parents which made the entire experience an unforgettable one!!

Hi Canberra Families
I'm a 29 year old female currently working as an Accountant during the week and living in Kingston.
I have done babysitting with agencies and through my own contacts for over 8 years. It has been a great part-time/casual job throughout my years studying at school/university and whilst working as a professional Accountant.
The requirement to be active when minding kids always provided a great outlet outside of study and the professional world. I enjoy looking after children of all ages. Am happy to do extra house cleaning, tutoring, pick-up and drop-off's and overnight stays.
Outside of diving I enjoy; yoga (ashtanga), scuba diving, snow skiing, healthy eating (vegan) and language study and have also started hosting children's parties with my best friend Jodie.
I'm currently available for weekends and by negotiation during the week.
Look forward to meeting and discussing sitting opportunities with you.
